All traditional yoga classes at Yoga Centered are designed to be therapeutic, but in Therapeutic Yoga class, we will specifically use yoga to address different physical issues we may be dealing with. We will learn poses and stretches to help alleviate back pain, hip pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, and more by increasing mobility and building strength, gently and slowly over time. Learn to relax, breathe deeply, and melt into a calm environment that can help center the mind.

Ceremonial Yin and Restorative class is a dreamy, all-level class focusing on sacred pause and intention, light massage, reiki assists, transitional moving meditation, mantra, card pulling, aromatherapy, and spoken poetry. We begin with yin yoga and gradually unfurl into a restorative yoga practice. Yin yoga uses gravity, the breath, and longer-held poses (generally 3-5 minutes each) to encourage our connective tissue to release tension as well as blocked/stored emotion. Restorative yoga is a practice of deep relaxation that uses props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks to help support the body in long-held, gentle postures that encourage deep rest and release.

The dessert of yoga practice, the soothing and well-supported poses of this Relax Deeply class offer us the opportunity to linger quietly for a few moments and savor the simple sweetness of life. The postures are usually deeply supported by blankets, blocks, and bolsters, and are held for several minutes at a time. At minimum, we will discover a rich and deep state of relaxation that will calm and restore our whole being!
